These beautiful picture shelves are made using solid wood and are wonderfully simple to install.

These picture shelves are also available as part of our ready to paint range.

When working out the required depth of your picture shelf, please note that the depth shown is the external depth, so the usable shelf space will be approximately 2.5cm less than the external depth. These shelves are made with straight corners as standard, but can be curved (as shown in the oak shelf below the main picture); just let us know in the order notes section if you’d like the ends curved!

As with all of our shelving, our picture shelves can be made to your length and depth specifications; if you can’t see the size you’re after, just contact us and we’ll be happy to help! If you’d like your shelves to be shorter than 40cm, order them at 40cm long and then let us know the lengths required in the order notes section (you’ll find this at the bottom of the page where you enter your billing and delivery address details).

Our picture shelves are installed using keyhole fixings routed into the back of the backplate (the bit that meets the wall). We provide you with a pack of fixings (wall plugs and screws) so you just need to drill into the wall, insert the screws, leaving a bit sticking out, and then slot the shelf over the screws. Because the holes are in a keyhole shape, the round part goes over the screw, the shelf drops down and the screw head is nice and snugly fitted into the narrow part of the keyhole shape.

If you have wooden studs behind the plasterboard in your house and you’d like to get a fix into them, you can always let us know where you’d like the fixing holes to be (eg 20cm in from the right end, 30cm in from the left etc).

The other way to fit these shelves is to drill into the wall, pop your wall plugs into the holes and then drill though the back plate and screw through the back plate into the corresponding holes in the wall. We can supply little cover caps in a matching veneer to cover over the screw heads if required; just let us know when ordering!

All of our shelves are straightforward for a DIY enthusiast to install and come with all of the fixings you’ll need but you may want to consult and use a professional tradesperson for your installation.

Before we dispatch your shelves, we protect the edges with heavy-duty protective edging. Your shelves are then carefully wrapped in recycled and recyclable foam packaging and shrink wrapped to ensure that you receive them in pristine condition.

We deliver anywhere in the UK; shipping orders going to Mainland UK addresses are subject to a flat fee for standard deliveries of £15.00. Deliveries to Highlands & Islands and remote areas may be subject to different shipping fees and conditions ; please contact us for details. As standard, we deliver on workdays, to the address of your choice, and can usually arrange Saturday and morning deliveries at a small additional charge; please contact us for further details.
